INSPIRATION
FELLOWSHIP
The Inspiration Project leads virtual “field trips” that introduce educators to the most innovative learning environments around the world.
The Inspiration Fellowship is designed for small teams of education leaders to build or deepen an inspiration-centered practice by joining these field trips with their colleagues and considering how new ideas might fuel their work.
THIS SPRING, WE WILL EXPLORE:

Around the world, many cultures have a rich education legacy rooted in learning from elders. This commitment translates historical perspective, taps into expertise, and threads connectivity across generations. In February, we look to places that honor the power of authentic, regular, bi-directional learning across age groups.

As we aspire to prepare youth to thrive in and shape the workforce of tomorrow, we have a lot to learn from places who blur the lines between school and work today. In March, we check out programs that provide powerful, immersive, on-the-job training. Whether literal apprenticeships or innovative approaches to career readiness, we will consider the implications for providing more immediate exposure to and up-skilling for jobs and trades.

The trend lines paint an urgent picture. The Covid epidemic has accelerated already unprecedented rates of depression and isolation in teens and significant retention cliffs for educators. This month, we learn from organizations that are putting wellbeing at the center of their programs and consider how we can collectively build a future of holistic care across our schools.
THE EXPERIENCE
The fellowship has been designed to provoke new thinking, while being personalized to the questions most alive for your team.
1.
The Inspiration Project will virtually facilitate a 1-hour kickoff for your team to set an intention together and prepare for the field trip series.
2.
Team members join at least 2 of our 3 virtual workshops (you can opt into different sessions among your team), and explore curated resources from all of our presenters. Teams may choose to add additional inspiration into the mix — looking at additional models, readings, fodder from their work.
3.
The Inspiration Project will host a closing reflection for your team to look back on the series and integrate what they learned into practice.

-
We’ve learned that the most powerful way to engage with the field trip series is to come with colleagues who can support each other’s commitment in bringing inspiration to life at home.

For most groups, we imagine teams will be formed of 3-5 individuals. There are two types of teams that will be especially well matched to this experience (1) A group who already collaborates together in some capacity (whether in a formal team or not). This might look like a group of instructional coaches, a grade level team, new school founders and their founding families, or colleagues in a nonprofit, or (2) A group of people who share a particular context and therefore are invested in realizing new ideas in that place. For example, a group of school founders in Denver might team up to share this experience together.

We will hold a limited number of spots for individuals who wish to join without a team. In doing so, we will match you with a small group of 3-4 other leaders who you will connect with in our kick-off/end cohort experiences and be able to collaborate with along the way.

Through the generosity of our sponsors, The Inspiration Project is able to offer the fellowship on a sliding scale from $300-600 for selected teams, to be paid upon accepting your position. This range is for teams up to 5 individuals. If you would like to apply with a larger team, that is fine. We will follow up on a tailored cost for that size. You can find more information and choose the right price for you via the application form.
